The company was represented in Virginia Beach from September 22 to 24 at the annual gathering of the Navy, the shipyards, and the maintenance community.
MES Technologies was represented at the American Society of Naval Engineers Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium, held September 22 to 24 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Johnny Villena, Vice President of Business Development, attended on behalf of the company and its four operating subsidiaries.
The symposium brings together the Navy, the public and private shipyards, and the suppliers responsible for keeping ships available and capable. That community represents a substantial share of the work our companies perform. Marine Electric Systems has supplied the Navy since 1942 with salinity and water quality monitoring equipment, temperature monitoring panels, and shipboard electronics, and it repairs and rebuilds those systems when the original components are no longer manufactured. Aerospace Industries, MES Fasteners, and Rectico supply the machined parts, custom fasteners, and packaging that support the same platforms.
Maintenance and modernization work tends to surface the sourcing problems that ordinary procurement cannot solve, including obsolete assemblies, missing drawings, and quantities too small to interest a large supplier. Those are the problems our companies are organized to take on.
If your team is working through a maintenance or modernization program and needs a manufacturing partner, we would welcome the conversation.
