MES Technologies Attends the Emerging Technologies for Defense Conference in Washington

Vice President of Business Development Johnny Villena represented the company and its operating subsidiaries at the NDIA conference held September 9 and 10.

Johnny Villena, Vice President of Business Development for MES Technologies, represented the company at the National Defense Industrial Association Emerging Technologies for Defense Conference and Exhibition, held September 9 and 10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The conference brings together government, industry, and academia around the technologies expected to shape the next generation of defense systems.

This year the program placed particular emphasis on systems that can be produced and deployed within the next five years rather than on research that remains years away from fielding. That emphasis on production was the clearest takeaway for a manufacturer.

Every system on the exhibit floor eventually depends on machined parts, circuit card assemblies, wiring, fasteners, and packaging that meets government requirements, produced by suppliers who can deliver on schedule. The systems already in service will need support for decades after that. The companies that build and sustain hardware will determine whether a five year timeline is realistic, which is where our four operating companies do their work.

If we did not have the chance to speak at the conference, or if you are working on a program that needs a manufacturing partner, Johnny Villena is available through LinkedIn or through the contact information below.
