MES Technologies Hires Senior Electrical Engineer Ken Roman to Grow Repair and Overhaul Business

Veteran defense electronics engineer will strengthen power supply and electronic repair capability across the company’s operating subsidiaries.

DALLAS, TX (July 2026): MES Technologies, Inc. has hired Ken Roman as a Senior Electrical Engineer supporting its operating subsidiaries. Roman joins the company to help expand its maintenance, repair, and overhaul business, with a focus on power supplies and other electrical components, work carried out primarily through Marine Electric Systems, the family’s defense electronics and electromechanical manufacturer.

Roman brings more than thirty years of electrical and electronic engineering experience across defense and industrial programs. He has designed power and motor control electronics, embedded control systems, and automated test equipment, and he has spent much of his career supporting defense programs at the US Army Picatinny Arsenal and across the electronic warfare and fire control communities. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, along with an active Top Secret clearance.

“Repair and overhaul is one of the fastest growing parts of what we do for the fleet, and it takes real engineering depth to do it well. Ken has spent a career designing and testing complex power and control electronics for demanding defense programs. Bringing that experience in house lets us take on more of the power supply and electronic repair work the fleet needs and turn it around with confidence.”

Across the MES Technologies family of manufacturing companies, the repair and rebuild of legacy power supplies and electronic assemblies is a growing part of what the company offers the defense community. Many fielded platforms rely on electronics that are no longer in production, and returning those units to full operational specification keeps the platforms mission capable without a costly redesign. Roman’s engineering leadership strengthens that capability and supports the company’s broader strategy of preserving hard to source manufacturing and sustainment for the defense industrial base.

“The systems I have worked on across my career all came down to getting difficult electronics to perform reliably in the field. Restoring a legacy power supply or electronic assembly to full specification is the same challenge, and it matters because the platforms that depend on these units are still doing critical work. I am glad to be joining a team that takes this work seriously.”
